Where Have All The Flowers Gone
by Tom Hunter

23 JUN - 10 JUL 2022

This new exhibition presents naked portraits by artist and photographer Tom Hunter. In the summers of 2017 and 2019, Tom set up a makeshift photobooth at Glastonbury Festival. In the spirit of the first Summer of Love in the late 1960s, Tom asked the festival goers to reimagine the liberation of that era and embrace the freedom of nudity.

A selection of the resulting portraits are on display for the first time in Where Have All The Flowers Gone, which coincides with Glastonbury Festival 2022.

This series was inspired by Tom’s mum Sheelagh Hunter’s photographs taken on a Box Brownie – some of which will be included in the exhibition – and her stories of the Summer of Love at the Isle of Wight festival in 1970.

Tom Hunter will return to Glastonbury festival once more this summer, and shoot a new series of portraits which will be incorporated into the exhibition.
