New work by Dutch artist Hans Eijkelboom, shot in Bristol over the space of just 11 days, represent a snapshot of the people of Bristol. Eijkelboom’s projects are often simple yet address questions about contemporary society and globalisation.
‘The basis of the exhibition is the question: which is more important for forming our image of the world – the isolated moment or the continuous flow of more or less repeating images that come to us every day?’
– Hans Eijkelboom
20 FEB Eijkelboom will give an artist talk at the Foundation. He’ll give overview of his career from the 1970s to present day, culminating in the new work on display. There will be a discussion on the three ways in which Eijkelboom presents work, through exhibitions, through film and in book form. Tickets available here.
If you spot yourself in the exhibition, let us know and you will receive a print of that image!
A commission made possible with support from DMB Represents.
