Join photographic artist Trish Morrissey for a discussion about her long career in photography and film making. This event coincides with a new retrospective photobook of Trish's work, co-published by Serlachius Museums and Parvs to accompany the solo exhibition 'Trish Morrissey, Autofictions; Twenty Years of Photography and Film’, on display at Serlachius Museum Gustaf in Finland.
Trish will give an overview of her creative practice, beginning with her seminal projects that interrogate the tropes of family photography, to her recent work using archives and her lived experience to create characters through re-enactment and role-play. Collectively, Trish's work weaves a narrative about the female experience from youth to middle age and beyond.
Followed by questions from the floor and a book signing.
