Martin Parr Foundation opens its archive of photographic prints, book dummies and ephemera for Bristol Gallery Weekend. Join Isaac Blease, the MPF archivist, for a tour of the collection and an insight into the photographic history housed at the Foundation. The tour will last approximately one hour and highlights will include looking at work by Chris Killip, Rinko Kawauchi and many Magnum Photographers.
The MPF gallery will also be open to the public with our exhibition ONE YEAR! Photographs from the miners’ strike 1984 / 85. To coincide with the 40th anniversary of the miners’ strike, this show looks at the vital role photographs played during the year-long struggle against pit closures in 1984-85.
