In 2019 MPF commissioned Tessa Bunney to create ‘Made Out of Orchards’, a new body of photography exploring the cider industry today. From Wassailing events, to the pruning process, to harvesting, to documenting over 400 varieties of apple, Tessa has photographed the industry from 2019 through to 2022.

The resulting work captures the cider industry at a time of transition and hardship, as cider makers adapt to accommodate Brexit and the pandemic, among other significant changes.

Made out of Orchards was commissioned by Martin Parr Foundation in 2019 and exhibited in the MPF Gallery 21 JUL to 25 SEPT 2022.
