In Growing Spaces, Chris Hoare documents a community of allotment-goers, the Bristol landscape and the seasonal changes across the official and unofficial growing spaces of Bristol. Taken throughout 2020, the work spans eleven sites across the city, from established allotments to improvised plots on disused lands.

Commissioned by Bristol Photo Festival, this photobook has been published to coincide with an exhibition of the work at the inaugural festival in summer 2021.
