The Brief: Humour is Everywhere

This summer Martin Parr challenges you to capture the humorous:

‘The world is funny, let’s face it. I learn a lot from listening to stand up comedians. The vulnerability they often express has an overlap with the vulnerability I am looking for in my own work.’

Humour is a broad church, so your image could express anything from tragi-comic, to high farce, to the satirical or surreal.

Please submit up to three images in JPEG format (max file size of 5MB), before midnight, 20 SEP. Our team will choose our favourite image from your selection to be presented to Martin Parr for his judgement.

Entries should be taken this summer (2023) and sent to membership@martinparrfoundation.org

Martin Parr will select his favourites during a live Zoom event (open to all members) on TUE 26 SEP.
