Join Martin Parr for a tea or coffee and an exclusive look at some of the Foundation’s photography gems.
On 24 NOV Bristol will be the first city in England to partake in the global movement Fair Saturday.
Fair Saturday takes place on the day following Black Friday; as an antidote to a celebration of consumption and consumerism, Fair Saturday raises awareness and promotes the value of the arts and community engagement, stressing importance beyond material possession.
As a part of this, on 24 NOV the Martin Parr Foundation is opening highlights from the collection. Visitors will be able to access Martin Parr’s selection of works from the MPF collection that are coherent to Fair Saturday’s values. Martin Parr will be at the Foundation on the day to share the highlights.
Donations are welcome and all proceeds raised from the day will be in support of Bristol based charity Knowle West Media Centre.
Visit the Foundation on Saturday 24 NOV and be a Bristol’s first Fair Saturday event.
