Fair Saturday Artist Talk

Organised with National Museum Cardiff for Fair Saturday, the Martin Parr Foundation present a Martin Parr artist talk at the Foundation in Bristol. This event is followed by a curator-led tour in Cardiff of the new exhibition ‘Martin Parr in Wales’.

Martin Parr currently has two major shows across the UK – ‘Think of Scotland’ is on display at Aberdeen Art Gallery 02 NOV to 23 FEB, and ‘Martin Parr in Wales’ is on display at National Museum Cardiff from 26 OCT to 04 MAY.

On the morning of Fair Saturday, Martin Parr will discuss ‘Think of Scotland’ at the Martin Parr Foundation, Bristol. Martin Parr has been taking photographs in Scotland for over 25 years; this exhibition and photobook bring together the extensive Parr archive of Scotland for the first time, presenting food, community, landscape and portrait photography.

Following the MPF artist talk in the morning, 2.30pm join National Museum Wales in Cardiff for a curator-led tour of ‘Martin Parr in Wales’. Martin parr has photographed in Wales extensively, having undertaken editorial and cultural commissions as well as continually shooting personal projects, covering subjects from working men’s clubs to coal mining. ⁣
