Quel Monde is the French edition of Small World – a biting satire in which Martin Parr observes global tourism and the search for authentic culture, often culture that tourist’s quests have contributed towards the degradation of. The work explores the difference between the reality and mythology of tourism, and presents an insight into tourist culture of the late 80s and early 90s. The original edition of this book was published by Dewi Lewis in 1995, with a second edition in 2007 containing 74 colour photographs.
