The Raw and the Cooked presents Peter Bialobrzeski’s pragmatic documentation of both Asian mega-cities and Asian slums. The book depicts structures from the simplest, homemade vernacular architecture to towering glass and concrete skyscrapers that dominate the landscape. This photographic study of fourteen different countries addresses issues of “progress”, and questions anxiety and trepidation that results from such development.
