This is the 1999 edition of Bill Owen's iconic 'Suburbia'.

For years, the original 1973 publication of Suburbia was out of print and a much sought-after cult classic. This revised hardbound edition contains a new essay by David Halberstam along with numerous vintage colour images published for the first time. The photobook is a sociological dissection of the Northern California suburban sprawl of the late sixties and early seventies, one of the great American photography books of the last quarter of the 20th Century.
