Photographer Alex Wolfe-Warman and Martin Parr Foundation welcome a lineup of photographers, activists and creatives for an evening on Palestine and Protest, with all funds raised shared between the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and Bristol Palestine Alliance (BPA).

Alex Wolfe-Warman, an active contributor to BPA, is a photographer and activist raised in a Jewish family in Bristol, with family in Israel. Alex collaborates with BPA and other groups in support of Palestine and has been photographing pro-Palestine events and marches in Bristol and London for many years. He will share a selection of these images on the evening.

Speakers also include co-creative directors of BPA, Sue Luger and Row Dye, as well as Petra Mansour, a British Palestinian curator and activist, who uses the arts to advocate for true equity. Petra will talk about talk about her activism within the arts and her family history and experiences.

Martin Parr will share a selection of his early photographs taken in Palestine in the 1980s, before his more recent work documenting protests in support of Palestine held in Bristol over the past year.

Lawrence Hoo, a poet whose work challenges, inspires and offers solutions for change, will give a reading of their work.

Ghazala Manzoor, an activist and videographer deeply passionate about fostering peace, respect and unity, will share short videos made with her iPhone documenting protests in support of Palestine held in Bristol.

Tickets are free, with an option to add a donation, which will go to the charity MAP and Bristol Palestine Alliance.

MAP works to provide immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.

Bristol Palestine Alliance brings members from organisations, groups and communities in Bristol together to respond collectively to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
