JJ Waller’s Lockdown Portraits (SIGNED) By JJ Waller

This publication presents British photographer JJ Waller's series of lockdown portraits. JJ Waller has documented the COVID-19 pandemic by photographing more than 100 individuals and families as they appear through windows, doors, and balconies. The images were taken between March and May 2020, during the first and most severe lockdown of the pandemic.

“Via a simple, easily appreciated idea, I was privileged in gaining insight into many personal stories as far reaching as those experiencing the death of a relative, to the many who had found lockdown a fulfilling experience. For me it was an intense period of picture making that fated me to be out working when most people were locked down or self-isolating. Quite often I was a welcome interruption to the humdrum of the day.” - JJ Waller
