In 2019 MPF commissioned Tessa Bunney to create ‘Made Out of Orchards’, a new body of photography exploring the cider industry today. From Wassailing events, to the pruning process, to harvesting, to documenting over 400 varieties of apple, Tessa has photographed the industry from 2019 through to 2022.

The resulting work captures the cider industry at a time of transition and hardship, as cider makers adapt to accommodate Brexit and the pandemic, among other significant changes.

The Foundation worked with Tessa to produce a publication of the work to accompany the exhibition, which is available from the MPF online shop here.
