Japanese photographer Rinko Kawauchi will join Martin Parr Foundation to discuss her creative practice in a rare chance to hear Rinko talk photography in the UK.

Rinko will be in London for an exhibition at Somerset House to mark her winning the Outstanding Contribution to Photography at the 2023 Sony World Photography Awards. Coinciding with this, Rinko will join Martin Parr Foundation for this special MPF artist talk.

Rinko will give an overview of her early work, including the simultaneous publication of her three seminal photobooks in 2001 – Utatane, Hanabi, and Hanako, before taking a look at her new projects, which she has been working on since.

Followed by questions from the floor and a book signing.
