PHOTOHUB EXHIBITION LAUNCHES
with the CRB Exhibition Party at MPF / IPE 163 Exhibition Preview at RPS

Join Martin Parr Foundation and The Royal Photographic Society at Paintworks Photohub, Bristol, for two exhibition launches.

Martin Parr Foundation will hold an exhibition party to mark the opening of their new show ‘Cafe Royal Books. Documentary, Zines and Subversion’.

Cafe Royal Books publish utilitarian, affordable and accessible documentary photography zines. Every 100th title, they produce an archive box and this exhibition presents the 500 CRB zines from their first five archive boxes. Each title presents a single story by a single photographer; photographs from some of these stories will be exhibited alongside the zines.

The RPS will be hosting a preview of their International Photography Exhibition. Now in its 163rd edition, the annual IPE is the longest running photography exhibition and this year presents work exploring themes of identity, cultural heritage, global societal issues, gender politics, mental health, the natural world, and the human condition. The selected photographs were chosen anonymously from a worldwide open call in which over 8,000 images were entered by 3,944 photographers from 114 countries. A total of 105 works by 57 photographers will be on display.
