Peter van Agtmael
MPF Photochat Live

Magnum photographer Peter van Agtmael will discuss his latest photobook ‘2020’, which recounts a momentous year in American history through photography. Diary entries accompany many of Peter’s images.

Presented chronologically, the book unfolds with photos of COVID-19 in New York City and lockdown ‘rebellions’, before progresses to the Black Lives Matter movement in the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, the rise of dangerous militias, and culminating in the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, with Biden’s swearing-in a few weeks later.

Peter will then be joined by Martin Parr for a discussion before questions are opened up to the floor.
