Join Martin Parr for the weekend – 31 MAY to 02 JUN – for a photography workshop at his favourite British seaside resort, Tenby, in southwest Wales. The beautiful Georgian town is surrounded by a Norman wall, with three different beaches and a harbour. Many of the images in the recently published photobook ‘Beach Therapy’ have been taken at Tenby.
Workshop attendees will spend the weekend with Martin Parr, staying at the Fourcroft Hotel above the glorious North Beach. The weekend will begin on the Friday evening with a meal, followed by a discussion with Martin Parr on his own photographic work. Participants and Martin will then embark on a series of mini photographic assignments over the Saturday and Sunday, which will be reviewed and discussed with the group as they’re completed.
We hope to be joined by a very special guest on the Saturday evening, while on the Sunday afternoon Susie Parr will give a short talk about the history of swimming, and lead a dip on North Beach.
The workshop is full board – with the exception of one lunch – starting with the Friday evening meal, and finishing at tea time on Sunday afternoon.
There is an option to extend your stay until Monday. If you wish to do this please contact us separately to arrange the extra nights accommodation.
